Epic Iron Warriors & Legio Argentum

Finally got around to snapping these. I have to say, I really enjoyed painting these and the titans of the Legio Argentum (Silver Legion). I found them a lot easier than Imperial Fists yellow!

They're not really painted for close ups, but they look alright on the tabletop.

The Legio Argentum - there isn't a whole lot of fluff on them, other than that they were part of he 51st Expeditionary Fleet alongside the Iron warriors and were involved in the Damantyne campaign.

It was good in a way as it gave me free scope to choose the colour scheme.  As they're the 'Silver Legion' grey and silver seemed as good a paint job as any.  Also, they were with the Iron Warriors, so I reckon they'd have kept ostentation and all that fancy heraldry to a minimum.

As I needed as many titans as I could get painted for our game (see the battle report), I just base-coated them.  I would like to go back and weather them at some stage, which will be a new challenge in epic scale:

Looks really good gilly, I don't have the patience to ebay it all really, but I'd be mighty tempted if GW re-released it - although can't see that happening

Pretty much none of this was ebay - it was the stuff we've had lying around all these years, but there is good stuff to be had on ebay for cheap epic wise. I think though that the demand for 30k is changing that.
