So.... new army time and ofc its Grey Knights for me!

I'd like this force to represent a brotherhood of Grey Knights so it will consist purely of Marines i.e. no inquisitors

First stab at a list, 1500pts

HQ
Grand Master Raxos (Terminator + NF Sword)
Librarian Mortain + Might of Titan (Terminator + NF Sword)

Troops
5 Terminators + NFHalberds and Psybolt ammo
6 Grey Knights + 1 NFHalberd and Psybolt ammo

Elites
6 Paladin Terminators + 2 NFHammers, 4 NFHalberds, 2 Psycannons and Psybolt ammo
10 Purifiers + 6 NFHammers, 4 NFHalberds and Psybolt ammo
5 Purifiers + 1 NFHalberd, 2 Psycannons and 2 Incinerators

As a side note, I've found it really difficult to bottom out choices without the GW faqs, had to spend ages working out the main points from various websites

Things of note
Nemesis Force Weapons count as unusual Force Weapons so they are AP3 plus the relevant rule from the codex. Something that I hadn't realised!

Storm Bolters are assault weapons - massive mistake from me the other day!

Hammerhand can be cast multiple times on a unit (if a character joins for example)

The Librarian can take powers from the main 40k book - tho I'm not sure which or how it works. He can purchase as many of the codex powers as he likes (not limited to his mastery level)

Might of Titan codex psychic ability also grants +D6 armour penetration in addition to the +1S

Any comments welcome!

To increase the force I'd probably add a Dreadnought and some transports...

Ouch. seems a nice list - looking forward to seeing the miniatures. Can you get teleporters or drop pods? Might be a nice change.

The Terminators and Grey Knights can deep strike - its just the Purifiers that can't, I'd have to read up on how deep strike works tbh. The Grand Master has an ability to improve reserves rolls and at the start of the game can give an ability to D3 units - one of the abilities is scout, so potentially I could deploy the Purifiers as scouts and then Deepstrike the rest... The Librarian can actually take a teleport homer

I was comparing this force to my Ultramarines 1500pts force and by god this one feels small now!

The model count for this force is 21 marines and 13 terminators inc 2 heroes, whereas the Ultramarines manage 32 marines inc 2 heroes, 5 scouts, dreadnought, landraider and 2 rhinos and a razorback for transport

Grey Knights certainly aren't as balanced as regular marines!

Disaster, was planning on grabbing some more bases from 616 Designs to match my Ultramarines... but they have packed up business! I've got 20 regular bases and 10 terminator bases, might need to trim the force a little!

Think you would be going way too elite if you cut the model count even further, its very low as it is.

Yeah, any fewer troops and you'll have trouble with lack of scoring units!

Pop us a pic of the bases you've got and I'll see if I can find an alternative manufacturer.

well.... by trim I mean the terminators need to go from 11 to 10 and the marines from 21 to 20, with the characters having different bases. If I can wangle a Dreadnought somehow I'd have a base for that....
