Well, I finally let him loose with the paints. Up to now, he was happy just painting any old figures with water, but he's cottoned on that it's just a swizz and he's been demanding to use the real deal.
I decided to let him have a go with a black undercoated dark elf plastic from the old range that I had spare. Popping it up coz he wants to see it online, the big head:
He chose all the colours himself and did it pretty much unsupervised (except for me trying to get him to not dip the whole brush into the paint...). He even chose the wash himself. The red base is apparently blood from all the people he's killed.
The worrying thing is he's done a better job than I could!
He's also got a bigger DE army painted than me!
